Agriculture is the largest contributor to the economy. It is used to sustain and enhance human life. But in addition, it generates a lot of waste materials. If the wastes are not managed properly, they pollute the surface and groundwater. They even contribute to air pollution. The agro wastes have to be reduced, recycled and reused to make it usable for different purposes.
When we talk about straw and peals that remain after harvesting of crops, their biggest problem is disposal. Many of the farmers resort to the burning of dry straws to clear the fields for the next sowing season. This burning causes a lot of air pollution. This straw and peals can be compressed for easy storage and later fed to the cattle. The excess can be recycled to make paper, pulp and wood ply.
